| ApologetiX is a Christian rock band that specializes in Christian parodies of classic (and modern) rock songs. For more info on ApologetiX, check out their web site at http://www.apologetix.comOn Jan 20, 2004, ApologetiX appeared at the Ontario Mills Mall in Ontario, Ca., where JCTV was taping a one-year anniversary show at the Vans' Skatepark in the mall. I was home that day and received an email from J. Jackson at about 2:00pm announcing the show that was to start at 4:00pm. I hopped in my pickup and high-tailed it to the mall (about 20 miles from my house) and met up with Kathleen Burke (ApologetiX' publicist) just outside the skatepark. I was in such a hurry I forgot to grab my little digital camera. Fortunately, Karl handed me his camera and said "take some pictures for the ApologetiX web site", which I promptly swiped once they turned up there and I've copied them all here (for posterity - the slide shows are easier to view over at the ApologetiX site, but they go away after a while). This wasn't a full concert. ApologetiX played "How You Rewind Me" and "Life Restored" during the sound check and they played "Smooth Grandmama" and "Life Restored" during the actual taping. Nevertheless, I got to spend a bit of time with the band at lunch and while JCTV was taping the other acts. All in all, this was a great time. This also set a new record for how close ApologetiX has gotten to my house. Enjoy! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
