Dan Malan grew up in St. Louis, MO & was a boy soprano. He thought Danny Boy was a plumber working on pipes. At 17, Dan went from a high soprano to a bass-baritone. At 18 he was a missionary in Mexico & bought a guitar. He quickly began writing songs & has never stopped. Dan was a Minister of Youth & Music for many years. He now teaches homeschoolers Speech and Debate. He is also an Art Historian in Literary Art and Bible Art. He has written nine books on Bible artist Gustave Dore. He's written 400+ songs & does Song-Writing Seminars. He does original songs, parodies & from classical music.
