And the Weather Keenly Changed

Parody of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Parody Lyrics by Jeff James (the Paro-dud)
God told Noah long ago. There's a flood, it's coming. So,
Noah, it will flush away the grime.
Get this gopher wood and make "little" ark for rainy day.
Noah, riding o'er the water.

CHORUS:
Oh, Noah, though you've never seen it rain.
Oh, Noah, and the weather keenly changed,
Comin' down for forty days.

Yes, they'd disobeyed the Lord. They were told 'gainst rain to guard.
Noah, they will pay for all their crime.
Just you gather what you're told (animals in pairs, you know).
Noah, it will be a wonder.

Chorus repeat

Note: Jeff James has written several Parodeities over the years. He has been gracious enough to rewrite many of the parodies appearing in the Parodeity section on Webster. He's done a great job improving some of these tunes in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I'm absolutely thrilled that he has taken it upon himself to make these improvements; I had hoped when I put all my work in the public domain that it would encourage some people to make these types of modifications to the Parodeities to improve them. It is exciting to see someone doing this kind of work; I hope that Jeff's excellent work will encourage others to write new parodies or "ReVerse" existing parodeities. -- Randy Hyde

BTW, if you don't understand the "Paro-Dud" moniker, visit ApologetiX' site and check out the name of Karl Messner's production company; then you'll probably get the play on words.
