Fall On Your Knees

Parody of "Call Me The Breeze" by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Parody Lyrics by Jeff James (the Parodud)
(this is about an attitude, NOT a position!)

Fall on your knees,
Like in One Kings, eight: five-four.
Well, now recall Daniel three -
Only bowin' down to Lord.
My, and Paul in Acts twenty -
He don't care if people know.

Pride's not there, then, in Ezra -
Nine: five says it, you see.
Well, then take the prayin' from twelve, then -
Acts twenty-one, it reads.
And that Elijah one was humble
Over in First Kings, eighteen.
Whoa, that's the way we should hope to be.

Well, I saw thirteenth verse lately,
(I perused of Solomon) -
Well, I saw chapter six lately
In the "two" of Chronicles.
Well, Isaiah spouts in chapter forty-
Five: oh, twenty-third verse. My, bow low!

Well, cite in three: fourteen 'Phesians
Paul did kneel right to Lord.
Well now, don't miss remorseful Peter -
Take Luke five: eight, it shows.
If you don't humble yourself, big man -
Oh, might scan Romans fourteen: 'leven.

Not if you're tall like a tree,
Or you're bowin' down real low.
Yet if you squawk that you're clean
And you're crowin' 'bout your own,
That ain't what's it. Lord wants, the
Christ, so cares what's in your soul.
Ooh, bless Him, please.
