Parody Lyrics by Jeff James (the Parodud) | |||||
| (Mt. 13) How is the tilling and sowing 'round here? You might pull sixty times more that one sows! So, you are fillin' up the garden 'round here? Don't copy others if they won't grow. But are you tillin' so good ones aren't dead? You give them life, so your plants aren't fried. You wanna be a son of great Jehovah? How, this kingdom, is like? Get pearl of great price! CHORUS: Are your petty things sold? 'Cause my petty things sold. Do you wanna lose great thing, great thing? Are you knowing His peace? 'Cause I chose the big jewel, He's the best, the Messiah. How is the tillin'? You cultivate, too? The seed could die. Do you care for crops? Some going strong, fortunes dive, the root dies. When we reap there it seems nine of ten stopped. Eschew the lies, untruth of the devil. You can't decide. Should your weeds reside? Then when they're grown, they are seared in oven. How, this kingdom, is like? Get pearl of great price! Chorus How is it really when the world is over? Evil things can be tossed in the fire. You wanna be a son of great Jehovah! How, this kingdom, is like? Get pearl of great price | |||||

| Note: Jeff James has written several Parodeities over the years. He has been gracious enough to rewrite many of the parodies appearing in the Parodeity section on Webster. He's done a great job improving some of these tunes in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I'm absolutely thrilled that he has taken it upon himself to make these improvements; I had hoped when I put all my work in the public domain that it would encourage some people to make these types of modifications to the Parodeities to improve them. It is exciting to see someone doing this kind of work; I hope that Jeff's excellent work will encourage others to write new parodies or "ReVerse" existing parodeities. -- Randy Hyde BTW, if you don't understand the "Paro-Dud" moniker, visit ApologetiX' site and check out the name of Karl Messner's production company; then you'll probably get the play on words. | |||||
