Hey Jude

Parody of "Hey You" by Bachman Turner Overdrive

Parody Lyrics by Jeff James (the Paro-dud)
Hey Jude, you say you wanna save the world.
Had to write, the real God they forget.
Will they learn? At churching game they got nowhere.
And they will bring down (for faith you must contend)/('till every law is
bent)

You see their lies now.
Beware, be wise now, ooh.
Their looseness spawns now,
Could cost you somehow.
Hey you, wa-wa-watch now.
Hey you, wa-wa-watch now.
You, wa-wa-watch.
You, wa-wa-watch.

Hey Jude, God can erase our ugly past,
But okay, their license isn't grace.
Where's their shame? Their looseness makes them die, soul dead.
They ever sin, won't stop. Take from the fire and save!

You see their lies now.
Beware, be wise now, ooh.
Their looseness spawns now, don't find out!
Could cost you somehow.
Hey you, wa-wa-watch now.
Hey you, wa-wa-watch now.
You, wa-wa-watch.
You, wa-wa-watch.

You see their lies now.
Their souls might die now, ooh.
Their looseness spawns now,
Could cost you somehow.
Hey you, hey you, God can stop ya,
Hey you, hey you, from fa-falling.
You, wa-wa-watch.
You, wa-wa-watch.

Wa-wa-watch now, hey you, hey you, hey you.
Wa-wa-watch now, may-may-may get rebuked now.
Wa-wa-watch now, is time, is time left, is time?
Wa-wa-watch now, don't bring me down, don't bring me down.

Note: Jeff James has written several Parodeities over the years. He has been gracious enough to rewrite many of the parodies appearing in the Parodeity section on Webster. He's done a great job improving some of these tunes in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I'm absolutely thrilled that he has taken it upon himself to make these improvements; I had hoped when I put all my work in the public domain that it would encourage some people to make these types of modifications to the Parodeities to improve them. It is exciting to see someone doing this kind of work; I hope that Jeff's excellent work will encourage others to write new parodies or "ReVerse" existing parodeities. -- Randy Hyde

BTW, if you don't understand the "Paro-Dud" moniker, visit ApologetiX' site and check out the name of Karl Messner's production company; then you'll probably get the play on words.
