Mo' Sees, The Surf Flew

Parody of "I Feel The Earth Move" by Carole King

Parody Lyrics by Jeff James (the Parodud)
(Exodus chapter 14, sorry Carole King ;-)

CHORUS:
Mo' Sees, the surf flew - wonderful feat!
Vile Egypt guys stumbled and drowned.
Mo' trusts. It's hard - thought you're hemmed in,
Yet then Your love abounds.

Oh Pharoah, yes you need His grace.
Fellows nasty must then pay.
Heart harden'd, like that granite.
Then you shook at sea that day.

Chorus

Oh Yahweh, then we hear you,
And to the Red Sea called us slaves.
I know that our devotion
Is something that's not misplaced.
We must laud and bless you, Savior.

Chorus

We must not "hot and cold".
Bow to Thy care, control.
Yeah, He rescues lotta souls.
Passover, Passover, Passover, Passover.

Chorus

Note: Jeff James has written several Parodeities over the years. He has been gracious enough to rewrite many of the parodies appearing in the Parodeity section on Webster. He's done a great job improving some of these tunes in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I'm absolutely thrilled that he has taken it upon himself to make these improvements; I had hoped when I put all my work in the public domain that it would encourage some people to make these types of modifications to the Parodeities to improve them. It is exciting to see someone doing this kind of work; I hope that Jeff's excellent work will encourage others to write new parodies or "ReVerse" existing parodeities. -- Randy Hyde

BTW, if you don't understand the "Paro-Dud" moniker, visit ApologetiX' site and check out the name of Karl Messner's production company; then you'll probably get the play on words.
