Parody of "Rock 'n' Roll Band" by Boston
Parody Lyrics by Cameron Reeder
| Well, we were just another band out of Bama, Singin' bout the Lord Who came from the tomb, Playin' every church, sleepin' in the gyms And we practiced in a living room. Though we didn't have much money, We barely made enough to break even, But when we got up on stage and got ready to praise, People found something to believe in, CCM band everybody's waiting, Getting holy, anticipating God, inhabiting praises, praise, praise, praise... Dancing in the aisles of the churches, we were getting pretty versed in the Word, People stood in lines from 2 to 99, you know faith came to everyone who heard, Living on more than bread alone, never sad about the sins we were missin', So when we got up on stage and got ready to praise everybody listened. CCM band everybody's waiting, Getting holy, anticipating God, inhabiting praises, praise, praise, praise... Playing for the weak and the hurting, a man came to the altar one night, He dropped to his knees and then he started to plead, he said "Boys, I want to know Jesus Christ!" Lead me in the prayer of repentence, I want to be a brand new creation, When he left the stage that night you better know he had received his salvation, yeah, yeah, yeah... CCM band everybody's waiting, Getting holy, anticipating God, inhabiting praises, praise, praise, praise... | |||
