Dwell

Parody of "Unwell" by Matchbox 20

Parody Lyrics by Christian Chouest
Proverbs 1:8-19
Proverbs 20:1

All day reading in the Bible instead of
Hanging with friends out at the mall
All night getting phone calls telling me
That I should smoke and drink because
Tomorrow we might all do nothing

Hold on, feeling like I'm headed somewhere
Straight down. But I don't know why?

CHORUS 1
Well, am I crazy? Am I a little unwell?
I know, I sin like its show and tell
But, I read a while and finally I see
Where my sin will soon take me
Well, I've been lazy. I haven't lived with a care.
I know right now He's right there
And soon enough He's gonna live in me,
And finally set me free, me

Talking to the Lord past supper
Asking forgiveness in the rain
I know, I know He died and rose to save me
And I just sofly whispered
And I put my life and trust all in Him
I'm now complete. For the first time I am thinking
Oh, wow, This is the life!

CHORUS 2
But I'm not crazy, I thank the good Lord above,
For showing me His unfailing love
I'll stay a while and truly worship thee
Because you are worthy
So, I'm not crazy, I'm just a little aware
I know right now you're smiling there
And soon enough you're gonna come for me
And take us all with thee

You might come when were asleep
Pretty soon you'll come to get me
And you'll take me home

CHORUS 3
I won't be lazy, I'll go and tell all of my friends
That Jesus will do the same for them
If they hang awhile I hope they truly see
The God who lives in me.
Well, I know Jesus, the devil had me ensnared
I know right now they don't care
But soon enough, there gonna look at me
And want what's inside of me

I'm not who I used to be
Well I'm just a little prepared
I'm not who I used to be
Because He reigns in me
