At Book Sixty-Four

Parody of "When I'm 64" by The Beatles
Parody Lyrics by Randall Hyde

Reading it over, here in my chair
Many verses, wow
Malichi turns out to be book thirty-nine
Revelation end of the line

Only one chapter, John number three
Then there's just two more
So I'm proceeding,
Yes I'm still reading,
At book sixty-four

Jude's one chapter, too
And when I've read God's Word
I will start anew

It's fine and dandy, all I can use
So I'm reading on
There is nothing better than the truth inside
Sunday morning's sermon applied

Daily devotions, I better heed
Who could ask for more?
So I'm proceeding,
Yes I'm still reading,
At book sixty-four

Even though Leviticus was boring
Revelation might not be all too clear
I won't skim I pray
Man, chills when I do read
"Verily I say..."

It's getting close now, I'm doing fine
Sixty-six to do
It is great, how nicely it begins my day
How it clearly shows me the way

It is the answer, it does inform
That book I adore
So I'm proceeding,
Yes I'm still reading,
At book sixty-four
