Parodeities
Parodeities are Christian parodies of secular tunes. They're what you'd get if 'Weird Al' wrote about Bible stories rather than making fun of food. The Parodeities page contains dozens of parodies written by Randall Hyde; the greatest hits page contains MP3 recordings of many Parodeities.

The "Paro-Duds" page contains parodeities written one of the world's most prolific Christian parodists: Jeff James.

The "Changing the Words, One Song at a Time" page contains parodies written by Lisa Bloomfield.

The "Tim's Twisted Metal Parodies" page contains parodies written by Tim Turner.

The "Stephen's Caffeinated Parodies" page contains parodies written by Stephen Starbuck.

The "Not Invented Here" page contains contributions from other Webster visitors.

The "Not Even Here" Page contains links to Parodeities found on other sites. The Legal/Moral Issues page discusses the legal and moral aspects of Parodeities.

The "Parodeities in Book Form" link downloads most of Randy Hyde's Parodeities in a single PDF file (in book form).

New! Thanks to Jeff James for locating an archive of Lee and Nancy Mari's "ReVersed Lyrics" site. Webster now has a "ReVersed Lyrics" page with links to all of these songs on the original "Parodeities" web page!

ApologetiX
ApologetiX is probably the premier band of the Christian Parody genre. You can visit their web site and learn all about the band by clicking on the ApologetiX link. You'll find lots of information about ApologetiX here on Webster including a defense of their ministry as well as reviews of all their CDs. There are even concert pix from several of their West Coast concerts as well as other information about their concerts. (Note: the gamma on the PIX are set for the Macintosh, so they'll be a bit dark on PCs, sorry. Note, however, that I did lighten up the images I shot at the El Cajon concert).

Additional sites of interest to those who like Christian parodies of secular music, humorous Christian music, and other humorous Christian stuff:

You can try the following site, but it appears to have gone off to that web site in heaven:
Flash! Jeff James was kind enough to provide a link to an archive of the original "ReVersed Lyrics" site. The following link will take you to the ReVersed Lyrics page on Webster (and from there you can either view the parodies from that site or go directly to the archive site). Make copies of the songs! Who knows how stable this archive will be!

Here are some additional musicians who've done Parodeities or similar work. These names have come up on newsgroups and other places on the net, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of web pages (except, perhaps, for Randy Stonehill) on these guys. You can try searching for these names with your favorite search engine or, better yet, search for them via http://www.deja.com. Not having heard any of their material, I cannot comment on it.
